Golden Boy is a vibrant new musical project led by Adelaide-based violist and composer Karen De Nardi, known for her work with the Pocket String Quartet.

 

Bringing together the expressive power of a string quartet with the energy of a groove-driven rhythm section, Golden Boy creates a bold and original sound that sits somewhere between symphonic elegance and disco-funk euphoria.

 

Featuring an eight-piece lineup of strings, bass, drums, guitar and keys, the group delivers instrumental music that pulses with deep grooves, lush arrangements and cinematic flair. Sweeping string lines dance over tight rhythm section grooves, blending classical sophistication with the spirit of funk, disco and modern instrumental soul.
